Web Developer

Familiarity with full-stack web development languages, tools, and techniques is a huge plus. Our development stack includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript ES6+, jQuery, ReactJS, Restify, Solr, MySQL, PHP, Ubuntu, NGINX, and version control with GIT.

Essential Job Functions                                      

  • Develop and maintain company websites and web applications.
  • You will work with our team of web developers and our very experienced in house DBA and .NET developer(s).
  • Maintenance and staff support of existing websites and CMS system.
  • Occasionally support customer service to assist customers with registration, login, or account issues.
  • Integration between website data and other data sources, SQL server, and or MySQL.


Job Specific Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in web development.
  • Experience working with scalable web applications.
  • Good understanding and work experience with back-end technologies like PHP and MySQL / MS SQL.
  • Experience using ReactJS or similar (AngularJS, VueJS, etc)
  • High level knowledge of front end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery/AJAX.
  • High proficiency in CSS, specifically responsive/adaptive CSS.
  • Knowledge of basic SEO techniques.
  • An understanding of browser inconsistencies, including mobile.
  • Knowledge of accessibility/usability and security best practices.
  • Experience working with other members of a development team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Linux web server configurations with NGINX. Basic DNS changes.

  • Experience or knowledge of Solr
  • Experience with SASS.
  • High level understanding of Google Analytics and SEO practices
  • Experience with .NET and Visual Basic helpful for legacy application support.
