Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is searching for professional and reliable Incoming Production Support Associate.
The Incoming Production Support Associate plays a critical role to ensure safety remains top priority by checking and verifying weapons are not loaded upon entering Rock Island Auction Company’s (RIAC) facility. This position is responsible for unpacking, moving, handling, and documenting all inventory received for consignment.
A strong working knowledge of firearms and a firm commitment to firearms safety are essential for success in this role.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with overtime and weekend hours, as needed. RIAC standard hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST.

- Checks in and processes incoming inventory, including antique firearms, edged and bladed weaponry, military memorabilia, and historic relics using the highest level of safety and respectfulness possible, and includes physically handling inventory and entering additions into system database.
- Tags incoming inventory with high attention to detail, verifying each firearm is unloaded and ensuring all information provided by customers is verified.
- Completes forms and logs with accuracy and documents findings consistent with directed guidelines established by internal processes and procedures as well as customer instructions.
- Organizes and moves inventory throughout department as well as out of department, as needed.
- Assists with auction duties, as business needs require.
- Assists with pick up, transport, and/or delivery of auction items, as business needs require.
- Travels for training purposes, minimal and with advance notice.
- Works expected overtime and required auction weekends (approximately 6 per year).
- Completes other tasks, duties, and projects as assigned.
Qualified candidates meet the following requirements:
- Ability and willingness to learn and follow all company rules for firearm safety and general safety.
- Ability and willingness to learn ATF and other regulatory compliance, and maintain such compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality and working with sensitive information and data.
- Ability to use and operate office equipment and machinery such as computer, copier, scanner, and various printers.
- Ability and willingness to travel with minimal overnight requirements.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience in firearms industry, or equivalent knowledge of firearms required.
- Prior relevant work experience with supply chain management, inventory, material handling, or other related field highly preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required.
- Valid driver’s license (non-CDL) required
Physical Requirements
Routinely moving and transporting up to 50 pounds. Traversing and moving for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with frequent ascending, descending, or positioning self to maintain moving and transporting consignor items. Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, observe, perceive and assess auction production operations. Constantly operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Typically works in climate-controlled environment, but may be exposed to outdoor climate while performing other duties as needed. Constantly works with and around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.
